In July 2017, I got a nice settlement check from an accident I had earlier that month, so I upgraded to a Nikon D7200 and booked a weekend for two in Venice! Upon confirming that the Biennale was still in full swing, I couldn’t resist the splurge for a September getaway, to catch a break from the dreadful heat of Summer in Rome. Venice is a work of art in itself and, while it boasts centuries of rich historic art, we opted to focus solely on the Biennale and other modern art galleries and exhibits.
